Happy Easter!

We hope that everyone had a wonderful Easter holiday! After a busy Saturday filled with egg hunts, birthday parties and t-ball games, we opted to take it easy today. We just rested and enjoyed the beautiful weather. We did stop by Aldridge Gardens after church to snap a few pictures. Here's a glimpse of everybody in their Easter duds!

Boy Ingenuity

Owen is very creative with his activities at times. One day last week, after having Mini-Wheats for breakfast, he decided to get his toy saw to try and cut one in half. He just disappeared from the table and then showed back up with his safety goggles on...ready to "work."

While we were at Aldridge Gardens taking Easter pictures, he made a fishing pole from a stick and a leaf. Here he is trying to "fish" with his handiwork.

Lulu's "tubby" time

Langley is definitely keeping us entertained these days! Her vocabulary is exploding... and it is fun for the rest of us to hear ALL that she has to say! The favorite of the week is "panda bear." Between the other four of us, we've probably asked her to say it 200 times over the past few days.

Tonight, while she was in the tub, she asked to wear Owen's "glasses." I couldn't help but get tickled as she went about her bath business with his goggles on.

Here's a shot of her fresh and clean, right out of the tub. We can't believe how big she's getting! Isn't she looking like Camden?

Cubs vs. "Chilis"

Owen's first T-ball game was last night. He had a great time (and so did the rest of us)! You'd be hard pressed to find many things cuter than a bunch of 4 and 5-year olds in baseball uniforms. In Owen's league, all the teams have major league names. He's on the Cubs. Last night, they played the Phillies. When I was putting Owen to bed, he had all sorts of comments and observations about the "Chilis." Too cute.

Back to Blogging...hopefully

Wow! We got so far behind that it became intimidating to try and catch back up. Instead of getting bogged down in the "catching up," we're just going to jump back in and pick up from here.

This picture was taken this past weekend while we were in Baton Rouge. Uncle Nick took us to LSU to meet Mike the Tiger and see the rest of the campus. The kids were playing atop one of the Indian mounds as the sun was setting. We thought their little silhouettes were really cool.

While we were at LSU, we were treated to a VIP tour of the stadium. Even the Alabama and Auburn fans in our party were impressed. :) We also had great time at the Bluebonnet Swamp Nature Center. We spent much of the day Saturday in New Orleans...eating beignets, strolling through the French Market and soaking up the great springtime atmosphere. Oh, and we can't forget the boiled crawfish..."YUM-ME," as Lulu would say. If you'd like to see more pictures, just click on the photo for a link.

Thanks to Abbie and Nick for a great Spring Break trip. We all had a great time!
